The Queen Mother
We have lost the Queen Mother! We celebrate the life and transition of Mrs. Trudie Baldwin Thomas, who ended her earthly assignment peacefully in her sleep the morning of March 30, 2020. Whereas, these are trying times, brothers and sisters, therefore we will celebrate the home going of our Queen Mother at (private graveside) services. The services will be held on Saturday, April 4th, at 11:00am at the cemetery of the Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church, located at 322 County Line Road, Lumpkin, GA 31815. A public memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined.
The new state laws require all guests to practice social distancing, i.e. maintaining 6 feet apart at all times from other guests.
Visitation at the funeral home will be private only. We encourage all others to please pay their respects on line with the tools available on this web site, thethomasfuneralhome.com through tributes, candles, floral gifts, etc.
On behalf of our mother, our family and the entire Thomas Funeral Home, with gratitude, we thank you for the many acts of love and kindness, generosity, and prayers from the depths of our hearts. Finally, my brothers and sisters, remember, “For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21 KJV. God bless you all. Please be safe and keep the faith.
