"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls." Matthew 11: 28-29 ~ (KJV)"
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lod, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all of them also that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8 ~ (KJV) "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." ~ Psalm 116:15 (KJV) Thanks to God, who gave his beloved son to die for our sins, we rest assured that heaven awaits those who die in Christ!
With great sadness, we announce that Rev. Ercell Baldwin Jr. transitioned from his earthly home to eternal rest on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Though we have heavy hearts, we find solace in knowing he's in a better place. We would like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways. Of happy times and laughing and bright sunny days. We would like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun; of happy memories that he left when his life was done.
A private service will be held for The Reverend Ercell Baldwin Jr.
PUBLIC visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., in the Joseph N. Booth Memorial Chapel of The Thomas Funeral Home, 218 Surles Street, Lumpkin, Georgia 31815.
